PROJECT SUMMARY
Most of the port is in the suburb of West Melbourne together with Webb Dock and Station Pier, which are located in Port of Melbourne. The Port is spread across 143,000 m2 and operates over 30 shipping berths together with 16 rail platforms.
CONTRACT AWARD
TAMS was successful in 2015 in being awarded a holistic electrical infrastructure maintenance contract for a period of 2 years with further options to extend the contract through to 2023. The Port of Melbourne provided a new contract in 2018 and in October 2021 extended with TAMS until October 2023.
The scope of the delivery includes but is not limited to: Area/Street/Berth lighting & Tower Lighting , High Voltage, CCTV System, Vehicle Recognition Systems, Generator Maintenance, Compliance Maintenance, Gangway Systems, Access Control, Fire Pumps, Fire Alarms, Air Conditioning, Cranes/Hoist, Minor Projects, Switchboards, Thermal Imaging, Gates/Turnstiles, UPS, Telephone Systems, Variable Messaging Systems, and Pollution Pits/Drainage.
TAMS operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, by scheduling preventative, programmed, and reactive maintenance works across all managed assets utilizing a dedicated operations centre which dispatches work-packs nationally to the operations teams through the use of a cloud-based Job Management System.
